* Random Ramblings *

I caved...I listened to Christmas music almost the entire weekend while I was in the car, which was a large part of my weekend with my day trip adventure down to Longview on Saturday. I couldn't resist - I whistled, I sang, I smiled - it made me happy and I realized that I could no longer deny myself something that was going to keep me entertained during my alone time in the car.

During my roadtrip, I passed a restaurant with a sign just like this one (I didn't stop to take a photo so I borrowed one from the googles)...

$1 chinese food

WHAT ON EARTH WOULD MAKE YOU THINK THAT $1 CHINESE FOOD WAS ACCEPTABLE??
Nothing about a $1 Chinese meal sounds good to me. My stomach hurt just at the thought of what might be included.

Have you tried the Limited Edition Haagan-Daz Peppermint Bark ice cream?

If you haven't, PLEASE buy some tonight for dessert - you'll thank me later. P.S. It's only available until January.

I bought the ice cream. I caved on the Christmas music. And I gagged thinking about $1 Chinese food. Let's talk about that ice cream again...YUMM-O!

LOL - the $1 Chinese Food! I drove by this place every day when I was going to Olympia for a client and I thought the same thing - so confused! My co-worker and I finally pulled over one day to check it out, but it was closed! If you do get off the exit though, they have the most intersting McDonalds. . .it's only a drive-thru. No sit down or going inside - that's my random tidbit for you. Feliz Navidad!

I also caved and listed to 1 Christmas song this weekend. The Charlie Brown Christmas song. No words, just music. I can't wait until Friday!

Ha! Sadly, after seeing that $1 Chinese Food sign countless times I decided I finally wanted to check it out. Yep, just like Delane found - closed. Sad - I secretly wanted to try it!

LOL, I know exactly where that sign is...right by the army base...because they think that army men will buy $1 Chinese maybe? Not sure..so weird. My cheap husband has asked many times to stop there to try it out... we never will.
I'm trying to wait as long as I can to pop in the John Denver and the Muppets CD for the kids. We listened to that until March last year.

I think about that place every time I drive from Seattle to Portland or Longview. Quite tempting for $1. I actually know someone who has eaten there! Gross! And that ice cream looks tdf, of course.
